Hollow Knight Silksong live stream date, time and how to watch release date reveal

Hollow Knight Silksong fans are counting down to a special live stream hosted by developer Team Cherry.

The imminent Hollow Knight Silksong stream will take place on August 21 at 3.30pm BST UK time. That's 10.30am ET for fans living in the US.

The live stream is billed as a "special announcement" by the makers of Hollow Knight Silksong.

"The countdown is on!" reads a Team Cherry tweet. "Join us in 48 hours for a special announcement about Hollow Knight: Silksong!"

With Gamescom Opening Night Live host Geoff Keighley confirming that the game will definitely launch in 2025, it's likely the special announcement will be the game's release date for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC.

There's even speculation online that the long-awaited sequel will be shadow dropped following the announcement.

Fingers crossed this is true, because this means we could be playing the new Hollow Knight within the next 24-hours or so.

Of course, any 2025 release date would be welcome, especially considering how long fans have had to wait for the sequel.

The Hollow Knight sequel takes place in a new land, and will feature a ton of new powers and abilities.

"Play as Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, and adventure through a whole new kingdom ruled by silk and song!" reads the official description.

"Captured and brought to this unfamiliar world, Hornet must battle foes and solve mysteries as she ascends on a deadly pilgrimage to the kingdom's peak."

A demo of the game will be playable for Gamescom attendees.
