Apple is dishing out free AirPods but you must claim these earbuds this week

It's very rare that Apple offers something for nothing, but that's exactly what the US technology giant is dishing out right now. Over the past few months, some customers have been able to grab themselves a free pair of AirPods. However, that deal will end this week, so there are only days left to claim. So, how do you get AirPods for free?

This very eye-catching freebie is available to students who are currently attending university. The offer includes AirPods 4 or AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation when buying a new MacBook or iPad.

Explaining more, Apple said: "Save on Mac and iPad for uni, choose AirPods or an eligible accessory."

If that deal sounds good, things get even better as there is also money off a swathe of devices, including tablets and laptops. This incentive means the stunning MacBook Air M4 starts from just £899 - that's a £100 saving.

There are also other price cuts on products, including the iPad Pro, MacBook Pro and iMac.

Once the initial purchase has been completed, students can then pick up those AirPods or other accessories-such as a Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, or Apple Pencil-for free.

One final bonus to watch out for is the option to get free Apple TV+ when students take out an Apple Music Student subscription.

The only thing to be aware of is that this deal will end on October 21, 2025 - that means there are just days left to claim.
