Manchester United's beleaguered boss Ruben Amorim is under the cosh and will be desperate for a win against Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend to ease some of the mounting pressure. The Red Devils are currently precariously perched just above the drop zone with a paltry four points from their opening four games, while their rivals remain unbeaten in the league.
United can take solace in the fact that Enzo Maresca's Blues suffered a European setback earlier this week. Chelsea were outclassed by Bayern Munich, who romped to a 3-1 victory at the Allianz Arena, thanks to a brace from Harry Kane. Last season, the Old Trafford showdown between the two sides occurred after Amorim's appointment but before he officially took charge. Interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy was in command, with Bruno Fernandes giving United the lead from the penalty spot before Moises Caicedo equalised.
Both goals were scored in the last 30 minutes and there was also a goalless first half in the reverse fixture. In that match, Marc Cucurella scored the only goal of the game just five days before Amorim's United were defeated in the Europa League final in Bilbao.
A victory for United would be their first over Chelsea since Scott McTominay bagged a brace in a 2023 win. Here's how you can tune in to all the action from Old Trafford.
