Sarah Ferguson has issued an emotional statement today on the three year anniversary of the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Sarah, Duchess of York, was believed to have had a close relationship with the late monarch both when she was married to Prince Andrew, and even after they divorced.
Since the late Queen's death in 2022, Sarah, 65, and her ex husband Prince Andrew, who she still lives with at Royal Lodge in Windsor, have taken care of Her Majesty's remaining corgis Sandy and Muick. In a sweet statement today, Sarah said she remembers the late Queen everyday, with the dogs acting as a "daily reminder". She also shared a photograph of the two dogs.
Sarah wrote on her social media accounts: "Today marks three years since the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
"Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten. Not a day passes without remembering Her Majesty's warmth and kindness.
"Caring for her beloved corgis is an honour and a daily reminder of our times together."
This is not the first time Sarah has spoken about the late Queen since 2022.
Earlier this year, the Duchess of York said she thinks the dogs are the late Queen "talking" to her.
Speaking at the London Creative Women Platform Forum, she said: "I have her dogs, I have her corgis.
"Every morning they come in and go 'woof woof' and all that and I'm sure it's her talking to me. I'm sure it's her, reminding me she's still around."
