Meghan Markle once revealed a birthday gift that she wished for on her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig. The royal will celebrate her 44th birthday tomorrow, with her undoubtedly set to be spoilt rotten with love and presents from Prince Harry and their two children.
In a post on The Tig, Meghan previously wrote that, despite it being her birthday, she would love for her fans to "be kind" to themselves in honour of her special day. In honour of her 33rd birthday in 2014, Meghan wrote: "I am 33 years old today. And I am happy. And I say that so plainly because, well...it takes time. So for my birthday, here's what I would like as a gift: I want you to be kind to yourself."
She then added: "I want you to challenge yourself. I want you to stop gossiping, to try a food that scares you, to buy a coffee for someone just because, to tell someone you love them... and then to tell yourself right back."
"I want you to find your happiness. I did. And it's never felt so good."
Discussing her mum's advice on birthdays, she added: "My mom has always said that birthdays are your own personal New Year. Your own chance to make resolutions just for yourself and what you prognosticate for your year ahead."
According to the blog, the 43-year-old makes the same wish every single birthday.
Speaking further on what she wanted for her birthday, she wrote: "More surprises, more adventure, more opportunities to grow, more days filled with giggles and cheeky jokes, more delicious meals, and more inspiration. Always more inspiration."
The Tig was active for three years, while Meghan was also working as an actress in the US legal drama Suits.
Meghan announced that her blog was closing down in 2017 - the same year in which she became engaged to Prince Harry.
The couple now reside in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
