Meghan Markle's 'desperate' move might be the smartest thing she's done in 10 years

10 years ago, before we'd ever put Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in the same sentence, I knew of Meghan. She was one of the leads in Netflix's Suits, Mike Ross' love interest, and a core part of the TV series. She was great, I enjoyed watching her. When it came out that she was dating Prince Harry, I thought, "Okay, this is new, but great!" They got married, the Suits cast attended their wedding, but then it all went downhill. Pretty quickly.

Fast-forward to 2020 and "Megxit" kicked off, the two moved to the US for a "private life" and tried to find their footing overseas. But without their royal life, they didn't have the same scope they did before. In this time, Meghan had given up her acting career, and Meghan and Harry were desperately trying to discover what area they will excel in now. They're yet to find it.

With documentaries, podcasts, panels, and whatever else they can attempt to throw themselves into, under their belt, it's finally time for Meghan to go back to her roots. And it's about time.

Meghan did seem to be a little upset when she had to give up her career as an actress, so after the news that she's planning to return to acting, I'm sat here giving a big sigh of relief. A PR expert told Daily Express that this movie is a "desperate call for attention", and yes, it is. But at least it's the RIGHT desperate move.

She's an actress, he's a royal, she quit her job, and then he quit his. So why have they been trying to figure out what to do next? You've got a trained actress in your midst! Her role as a royal previously would also put her as a top choice for a lot of producers, make the most of it. People also never got the ending to Suits they wanted, and now there's a spin-off, she could do either.

Now, with Meghan's latest role, we're just about getting an acting gig. She's expected to play herself in Jason Orley's Close Personal Friends. She's set to make a cameo appearance as The Duchess, but it's very different from the persona she's been trying to give off.

But regardless, who cares? I think it's time to backtrack, majorly, and take her own stance in her family as the breadwinner. She has the skills and the contacts, she gave up her career for the world's worst move into the Royal Family ever, so let's scoot on back. Harry's already made it clear he doesn't want to be back at the centre of the Royal Family again, so let's make it permanent.

Meghan, get back to Hollywood, even give Deal or No Deal a ring for crying out loud. Just do something, these pathetic attempts at trying to become influencers of a royal calibre is becoming embarrassing.
