Everyone's favourite period drama will return to screens in early 2026 when it's the turn of the second eldest brother to find love. A teaser trailer revealing the new Netflix series' release date has dropped, and we've been given an insight into what the season will hold.
The fourth season of Bridgerton shifts its focus to the bohemian second son, Benedict (Luke Thompson). Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down -- until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother's masquerade ball.

Bridgerton four will see the return of familiar faces such as Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton), Victor Alli (Lord John Stirling), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Julie Andrews (Lady Whistledown), Lorraine Ashbourne (Mrs Varley), Masali Baduza (Michaela Stirling), Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Bridgerton), Hannah Dodd (Francesca Stirling), Daniel Francis (Lord Marcus Anderson), Ruth Gemmell (Violet Bridgerton), and many, many more of the series' large cast. Alongside the regulars will, of course, come some new faces.
In terms of the plot, we know that Benedict first spots a mysterious Lady in Silver - unbeknownst to him, her name is Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) - at Lady Bridgerton's famed masquerade ball, and with the reluctant help of his sister Eloise (Claudia Jessie), Benedict sets out in society to uncover the young lady's identity. But his heart's desire is not in society at all - in fact, she is a resourceful maid named Sophie, working for the formidable Lady of the house, Araminta Gun (Katie Leung).
Tudum states: "When fate brings Benedict and Sophie back together, Benedict wrestles between the reality of his affection for this intriguing maid and the fantasy of the Lady in Silver - unaware that they are the same person. Will Benedict's inability to see these women as one in the same derail the undeniable spark between him and Sophie? And can love truly conquer anything."

Bridgerton captivated viewers around the world when Netflix and Shondaland debuted the iconic series in 2020. Each of its three seasons ranks among Netflix's Most Popular, while the fan-beloved prequel, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, dominated the Global Top 10. The franchise has amassed a global fandom that caters to an underserved romance audience, piercing the cultural zeitgeist with unparalleled success and igniting trends as fans celebrate their love of the series through memes, music, books, fashion, decor and more.
The series will be released in two parts, with the first four episodes arriving on Netflix on January 29 and the second four airing on February 26. With the release only a few months away, the countdown is on.
