With fans eagerly anticipating the release of Taylor Swift's latest album, an apparent leak shows the star's scathing lyrical outburst at a pop star - and fans think it's about Charli XCX. Taylor's The Life of a Showgirl album is only hours away and her loyal Swifties can't wait.
It marks her 12th studio album and follows The Tortured Poets Department, which topped the charts worldwide upon its release in April 2024. Taylor previously admitted she had been working on the album while on her gigantic Eras Tour, after speaking to Swedish producer Max Martin in May 2024.
And according to apparent leaks, there is set to be a track titled Actually Romantic. In it, it's thought that the Shake It Off singer, 35, has taken aim at Brat star Charli. It follows rumours the pair have been embroiled in a bitter feud due to Charli's marriage to drummer of The 1975, George Daniel.

The fallout is thought to have come during a time Taylor was briefly dating the band's frontman, Matty Healy. And it's said that tension between Taylor and Charli is played out in her new tune.
In the first line of the alleged lyrics, Taylor takes a swipe at someone - and some think that it's about Charli, who had previously opened her tour for her. If the leak is correct, Taylor sings: "I heard you call me ‘Boring Barbie’ when the coke’s got you brave.”
Taylor is also said to apparently sing about it being "romantic" and how much effort someone has spent talking about her.
Fans took to social media to speculate that the track is about Charli, with one writing: "streets are saying Taylor swift just dissed my wifey charli XCX." Another said: "charli xcx and taylor swift have beef??" A third said: "this year cannot get even more random like what do you mean taylor swift made a charli xcx diss track....."
Taylor had previously moved to play down any beef between the pair. In a chat with New York Magazine last year, she said: "I’ve been blown away by Charli’s melodic sensibilities since I first heard ‘Stay Away’ in 2011.
"Her writing is surreal and inventive, always. She just takes a song to places you wouldn’t expect it to go, and she’s been doing it consistently for over a decade. I love to see hard work like that pay off."
But, as is thought with most of Taylor's tunes, she takes aim and fires - and very rarely misses! The new album and all its variations are set to be released at the same time, but with the singer's prior albums, Folklore, Midnights and The Tortured Poets Department, she continued to record new versions of select songs and release them at later dates.
She then released extended versions of the album for sale, so some fans believe the record set to release on Friday is not the only The Life Of A Showgirl we will see.
Her latest album comes as Taylor and her NFL partner Travis Kelce confirmed their engagement this summer.
