Kerry Katona reprimanded by police after holding up traffic in £250k car for fan selfie

Kerry Katona sparked unexpected drama this week when a fan literally ran into the road to grab a selfie with her as she drove through a Cheshire village.

The 44-year-old, who was cruising in her eye-catching £200,000 green Lamborghini, has long been used to drawing attention in public but her latest encounter went further than most.

Footage shows the man sprinting towards her car with his phone ready, forcing Kerry to slow down as shouts rang out from passersby. “Quick!” she told him as he leaned in to capture the shot before she hit the accelerator and pulled away, waving at a small crowd that had begun to gather.

However, the lighthearted moment quickly turned serious when police officers intervened. “What are you playing at?” one officer demanded, unimpressed by the stunt.

The man explained: “I was trying to get a video for my missus.” The response earned him a sharp telling off: “By walking into the middle of the road and obstructing traffic?”

The man returned to the pavement smiling despite the warning, leaving Kerry to continue her journey.

Later, the clip went viral on Instagram, with viewers divided over who was in the wrong.

Some insisted he “didn’t disrupt one bit of traffic,” while others cheekily tagged Kerry and joked she was “causing a nuisance.” The reality star herself didn’t seem too bothered and went on to like the post.

Back in 2022, snapped Kerry splashed the cash on a brand-new £200k Lamborghini Urus V8. Just months after her Range Rover was stolen by thieves, the one-time I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! winner was seen running errands and returning to her new flash motor.

Kerry's last car, a Range Rover, was stolen in December 2021 , after the former singer realised her keys were missing during a shopping trip ahead of Christmas.

"I chased them, good job I didn't get them - they could've had a knife or anything," the TV personality confessed during an Instagram Live at the time. "I feel violated. The kids are really shook up."

Previously declared bankrupt in 2008 and then again in 2013, the reality TV star has completely turned things around thanks to OnlyFans.

Chatting about her career change and the boost to her bank balance in December last year, Kerry explained to The Sun : "It's been amazing for my career, I haven't stopped working. When I first did it I said to the kids 'I'm going to do this, and I'm going to go topless - if anyone has any problems, let me know'

The former Atomic Kitten singer continued: "Our Lilly said she wasn't happy about it, and I said 'wait until the money comes in and see how you feel about it then.'

"And once the money did start coming in they all had an iPad each and they had no problems! I've bought myself a Lamborghini Urus too, which comes in March."
