Taskmaster made its comeback on Thursday evening (September 11) for the programme's landmark 20th series, and audiences were instantly captivated.
This marks the second 10-week stint of Taskmaster in 2025, with the previous Channel 4 series having concluded only in July.
Presenters Greg Davies and Alex Horne introduced the latest quintet of comedians to tackle the series, as they confronted an array of bizarre and side-splitting challenges.

The performers embraced a fantastic selection of tests featuring puzzles, exercise balls and revolting sounds.
One challenge saw the participants pursuing Horne around the Taskmaster grounds, attempting to scan the QR code fixed to his back, reports Bristol Live.

The celebrity contestants taking on Taskmaster are Ania Magliano, Maisie Adam, Phil Ellis, Reece Shearsmith, and Sanjeev Bhaskar.
8 Out of 10 Cats favourite Maisie suffered a clothing catastrophe as her trousers seemed to drop down after failing to splash out on proper attire for the programme.
Chatting to The Mirror, Maisie revealed her mishap: "The difficulty was, I didn't blow the budget when it came to getting the outfit.
"It was cheap and synthetic, so I slipped on everything because of the cheap shoes – and the flammable leggings would catch on everything."
Consequently, Maisie's trousers consistently dropped down during the show; "It was mortifying, and it got progressively more humiliating and, dare I say, depressing as the studio records went on," she cringes.
Within moments of the fresh Taskmaster series kicking off, viewers flocked to social media to praise the 'brilliant' competitors on the comedy show.
Posting on X, one fan gushed: "I love these 5 #Taskmaster", whilst another admitted: "One task in and I'm already obsessed with this cast #taskmaster."
A third declared: "Maisie is my favourite, there I said it #taskmaster", while someone else commented: "I have no idea who Phil is, but I love him #Taskmaster."
"This cast is so funny already, I don't miss series 19 so much anymore. It's like they never left," remarked one viewer.
"Maisie is killing me already she's so chaotic #Taskmaster," quipped another.
Taskmaster airs Thursday's at 9pm on Channel 4
