Amelia Dimoldenberg reveals truth about Andrew Garfield romance and names her top date

Amelia Dimoldenberg, best known as the mastermind behind the hit YouTube series Chicken Shop Date, has shared which famous face still stands out to her as the ultimate guest.

Over the years, the 31-year-old has sat across from an enviable lineup of A-listers including Jennifer Lawrence, Billie Eilish, Ben Stiller, and Bella Hadid while showcasing her trademark awkward humour as she shares chicken nuggets with her famous guests.

While Amelia's interviewsoften spark envy with her viewers as she gets to not only chat to but flirt with huge stars including Andrew Garfield, Jonathan Bailey, and Ed Sheeran, it was her playful interview with Formula 1 star Damson Idris that left the biggest mark on her. It comes after it was revealed that Amelia isin talks for standalone series with a huge streaming giant.

Speaking to Porter, she recalled: “The dream date, really. So charming, deliciously so. I love it when the guest flirts back and leans into the idea of it being a date. He definitely understood the assignment.”

Amelia has plenty of memorable moments from her unconventional “dates.” She credits her 2022 sit-down with rapper Jack Harlow for helping her break America and describes her chat with documentary legend Louis Theroux as a genuine “pinch me” milestone.

Despite gaining incredible success off the back of the Chicken Shop Date series, the YouTube star has said that her celebrity wishlist remains even more ambitious than ever.

Amelia is hoping to bag future dates with none other than Nathan Fielder, as well as Miss Piggy, Skepta, and Giggs.

While Amelia has credited Damson Idris as her favourite interview yet, the internet went into overdrive with her now-infamous encounter with Andrew Garfield.

The pair first caught public attention after being spotted at the GQ Men of the Year Awards and later the Golden Globes, where their banter sparked a wave of romance rumours.

At the time, fans described their chemistry as “off the charts,” and clips of their flirty exchanges were shared widely online.

By the time Andrew joined her for Chicken Shop Date in 2024, anticipation was high and has fans wishing that the pair would finally confirm their romance after months of speculation.

The actor who was newly single at the time reminisced on their “two meet-cutes”, calling them “vibey” during the date.

The conversation quickly took a cheeky turn when Amelia challenged him to a Snog, Marry, Avoid between Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and herself.

"This is unfair” Andrew laughed. “I’d avoid you because I can’t do that to either of those guys.” After a pause, he leaned in with a grin: “This is called flirting, Amelia! This is called flirting."

Naturally, the clip exploded online and racked up over 12 million Facebook views.

Speaking about the viral Chicken Shop Date with Andrew and the romance rumours that surrounded it, Amelia admitted that it was too much for her to take.

"The hysteria [that came] from that I would not have predicted,” she admitted.

Amelia compared the mass of messages she received to the level of attention someone might get after announcing an engagement: "You’re getting all these messages and you just kind of want to put your phone away."

Despite the speculation, she has since set the record straight on the speculation surrounding herself and Andrew.

Speaking to The Sunday Times Style, she said: "We’re friends. I saw him at the Oscars and he’s a great guy, a great person. We’ve got such a great dynamic."
